Russian Agricultural Machinery Production Drops 37% in Q1 2026

Shipments of domestically produced agricultural machinery to the Russian market in Q1 2026 amounted to RUB 32.4 billion, down 16% year-on-year, according to data from the Rosspetsmash association.

Exports fell by 15.5% to RUB 4.7 billion. Production of Russian agricultural machinery in value terms reached RUB 42 billion, a 37% decline compared to the same period in 2025 — and this against the already low base of 2025.

Declining shipments are observed across nearly all types of agricultural machinery manufactured in Russia. Tractor deliveries totaled 598 units (-16%); cultivators – 403 units; harrows – 712 units (both categories showed a 25% decline); seeders – 625 units (-36%); mowers – 264 units (-62%); balers – 71 units (-75%). Combine harvester shipments remained virtually flat compared to the very weak 2025 levels, edging up just 3% to 498 units.
